This workout kicked my butt because I have been slack lately! Feel so much better afterward but it kicked my tail!!!

Today I was to run 1.5 miles but I was to do it 60 seconds running 60 seconds walking and I ran at 5.5 mph and walked at 3.0 mph. I did a 4 min warm up and cool down. The pics don't show my warm up though but the mapmyrun shows my whole time including a few minutes when I forgot to hit the stop button lol!

I think this was the 1st time I did a 5K and tracked it. I had walked them before that but never ran one.

I went a long time before I did another 5K because I was pregnant. The next one I did I was surprised with my time.

My accomplishment yesterday of doing it under 43 minutes was fantastic! I am looking forward to getting it back into the 30's before the Color me Rad 5K!

3/10/13 run
I decided to test my 5k time and do it outside too! Happy with my results considering I walked the 1st half mile as a warm up! I am getting excited!

Today my task was to run a mile as fast as possible. So I did 3 minute warm up and then a 14:08 minute mile followed by a 3 minute cool down. I am happy with my mile time because it is the best I have had in a while!

Training day #1
Today I walked .25 warm up, .25 run 4.5 mph, .25 walk 3.0 mph, .25 run 4.5 mph, .50 walk 3.0 mph. Total 1.5 miles ... Pretty happy with my 1st day back at it!

The Color Me Rad 5K
Nicole and I are doing the Color Me Rad 5K. We had wanted to do The Color Run but that date doesn't work for me so the Color Me Rad is a similar race in Greensboro on 3/30/2013! We are both really looking foward to it!

This isn't my 1st 5K but it is my 1st one where I am planning to run some of it! I have done the Free to Breath 5K and the Susan G Komen 5K as well as a few random ones here and there but always just walking! I am a novice to running. I have done it some and I enjoy it but I am NOT what I would consider a runner yet! One of my great friends Amanda Smith who is a trainer (and much much more) took the time to write me up a plan to get me ready for the 5K in 1 month. Now of course the day I was supposed to start I ended up with a stomach virus where I was throwing up for 12 hours straight. I will be starting a day late. I also had to adjust my day off because Nisee has Dance class Wednesday nights so that will be my rest day (except this week as I am starting late). Anyways wish us luck! We are going to have fun no matter what but we are hoping to make it in under 45 minutes!
